MSI has updated its 7950 to have higher clock speeds with a Twin Frozr III cooler.
MSI has updated its Radeon HD 7950 lineup of graphics cards with a
new Boost Edition OC card. The new card will feature MSI's Twin Frozr
III GPU cooler,
which even in combination with the overclocked GPU let the graphics
card run 10° C cooler and up to 13.7 dB quieter than AMD's reference
cooler. The Twin Frozr 3 cooler is built with two 80 mm PWM fans.
The GPU's base clock speed
is now 880 MHz, up from 850 MHz AMD reference, and the boost speed is
up to 960 MHz, up from 925 MHz reference. Other specifications include 3
GB of GDDR5 memory over a 384-bit memory interface running at 5.0 GHz and PCIe 3.0 support.
Aside from that, this card follows other reference specifications
with a single DVI output, HDMI output and two mini-displayport outputs.
Buyers can expect the card to hit the market soon with an MSRP of $330.
