Well, that didn’t take long; shortly after leaked videos of the Nokia Lumia 1020 spread around the Internet, Nokia and AT&T went ahead and officially announced the handset via a press release and yet another video.
The phone is available exclusively through AT&T starting on July 26th and will be cost $299.99 with a two-year contract. The device comes in black, white, and yellow, and it’s the first Windows Phone with the AT&T Locker cloud storage app.

Most importantly for those eagerly anticipating this multimedia powerhouse phone, we now have more complete specs, which include a 4.5-inch 1280x768 Corning Gorilla Glass display, a 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor (MSM8960), 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of onboard storage.
The camera of course features a 41MP Pureview sensor with Xenon flash, optical image stabilization, at least 4x optical zoom (with video), manual controls, and Zeiss optics. One surprise is that it’s the secondary camera that can shoot in 720p HD; the primary camera can handle 1080p Full HD at 30fps. The phone also offers 4G LTE capabilities, NFC, 802.11a/b/g/n wireless, Bluetooth 3.0, and an accelerometer, proximity sensor, gyroscope, and a barometer. (A barometer?)
This is a seriously tricked-out smartphone (with a price tag to match); if Nokia was ever to compete hard in the market, this is the phone that could do it.
